Default Anyone know what this message means?

I have a pair of NGx R65 gateways with HFA_02 and hf_249 running a pair
of Dell Optiplex GX270 with Intel NIC 100Pro. Everytime I reboot the
gateway, I see this message from console:

Configuring network: Performing control operation...
Network control failed.

Anyone know what it means? The gateways seem to be running fine
without issues. Could it have other "issues" that I am not aware of?

Thanks.

The only thing that comes to mind is flow-control. Does mii-tool query your nic's properly?

Maybe if you ran a "/etc/init.d/network stop" and "/etc/init.d/network start" by hand you could get more information on the error...

I got no message when I run "/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart". Furthermore,
I put "/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart". This is the content of /etc/rc.d/rc.local
file:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart

ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off
ethtool -s eth1 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off
ethtool -s eth2 speed 100 duplex full autoneg on (eth2 is the sync interface)

Still I see that message, not all the time but about 50% of the time.
