Default Cannot extract files on SPLAT

Hi guys,

I running SPLAT R55 w/ HFA_17 on a HP ML150 machine.

I tried to upgrade to NGX by typing patch add cd.

When the system tried to extract the files out, it told me it required 100000k free space ./ 12122k available.

I issued a df -k and noticed that /dev/sfa2 was the mentioned partion, that left 11MB free space. But other mounted file systems got free space.

How should I go about "house keeping"?

Thank you.

Best regards,
Jason Tan

du | sort -nr | head

This should give a list of the top offending files/directories that are taking up space.

The Check Point log directory is usually the big offender. If you don't need to keep any of the old logs, you can delete them. In fact, if needed you can delete all of the Check Point log files if you don't need them. CP will recreate the files that it needs.

Remember not to delete anything that you arn't sure about and do a backup before you do delete anything just in case.
