Default SPLAT on a simple PC

Hi,

I've installed SPLAT on a P4 and with 1 internal network adapter and 3 network PCI cards. 3COM 3C905-TX type
But I'am only having tcp/ip connection on the first (internal) card
The other three cards are reconized by SPLAT, it even can detects when a links go up or down. But no traffic can get passed by these interfaces.

ethtool -p eth1
gives the following error :
Cannot identify NIC : operation not supported.

When I do this on the internal card eth0, I receive some output.

anyone can help me out?

cheers,

What does your security policy specify?

Have you set up the SPLAT platform since installing it with sysconfig?

If so, is there a security policy installed (the default filter will block traffic)?

What networks/devices are connected to these cards - any possible problems with speed & duplex settings?

The 'operation not supported' error you got will often be displayed when SPLAT doesn't know if the NIC supports the link control protocol (SPLAT doesn't know whether the link is up or down). This doesn't mean that the driver for the card isn't loaded for example.

An example on a system I have is where the 'ethtool -p eth1' command gives the same error you've seen, but in the Web Interface GUI, the Interface is shown as 'up' even though there's nothing connected to it.
