Default Hardware Failure

Hi All,

We experienced our first 'Firewall problem' which was resolved by rebooting the SPLAT box.

I suspect this is hardware related, what tools at OS level / FW level can I use to help diagnose any potential hardware issues?

The Linux log /var/log/message is the first place to look.
