Default NIC Intel pro 1000 PF quad

Hi,

We plan to install SPLAT R65 on a load sharing cluster on two Dell Power edge 2950. We need quad Fiber NIC PCIexpress not PCIx.

I want to know if someone already use this network card on a SPLAT configuration. (is the driver is include in the SPLAT image ?)

On the Checkpoint compatibility web page, the PCIx Intel pro 1000 PF quad card is there but not the PCIe.

I want to be sure before buying the NIC

Thanks in advance

The Pro/1000 PF and the Pro/1000 PF Dual Port PCI-E cards are on the HCL (Check Point Software: Certified Network Interfaces - All Products)

The Pro/1000MF is supported as a PCI-X (1, 2 or 4 ports)

You lose on the Quad PCI-E cards.

What I have found is that if you submit the request if it is a common peice of kit then they will add to the next release of the software/hfa.

Thanks Mcnallym,

I think it is a common piece. They already support the 2 port NIC, why not include the 4 port NIC. I will ask checkpoint to include it.

R65 is a new version, do you have the info about when the release of the first HFA will be available.

Hi,

I have some spec that the M8 Firefly support the Intel pro 1000 PF quad fiber.

Does the M8 Firefly is a SPLAT on IBM server built in by checkpoint ?

If yes, why the Intel pro 1000 PF quad fiber is not supported in a SPLAT ???

Thanks in advance
