Default How to clear the error "Can't locate module n"

To correct the issue, login to the server that is generating these errors and procede with the following:

vi /etc/modules.conf

Add the following line to the end of the file. This entry will need to be below all other entries in the file.

alias off

Save your changes. The server will need to be rebooted in order for the file to be parsed again.

Thanks for the tip, can't wait to try it out. Can you explain a little more as to why not having this in the modules file would cause the error?

Thanks!

By defining "alias off" as the last entry in the modules.conf file, it is telling the system to no longer call modprobe to check for devices after parsing through the modules listed.
