Default Hooking a VGA monitor and PS/2 keyboard to an IP440

Hooking a VGA monitor and PS/2 keyboard to an IP440

The IP440 has a VGA adaptor as well as PS/2 Keyboard and mouse ports. It is possible to hook up a VGA monitor and PS/2 keyboard with the IP440. This is the only way to make a BIOS-related change, or if you have the Duplidisk hardware RAID controller and need to do repair work on the disks.

Additionally, the VGA screen and PS/2 keyboard can be used as an additional terminal after the system has finished booting. The serial port is considered the main console, so you will not see boot messages on the VGA screen. Use of the VGA/PS2 interface is not the recommended way to access an IPSO platform "out of band."
