I've been trying to install the latest version of smartplatform R62 on a test box that I previously ran the r55 ng on with no issues. The installation of splat completes with no issues but the install of checkpoint products (UTM and smart console) fails. While investigating i noticed that the install only allocated 65mb of the disk to /var and it is at 100% I'm assuming that is the cause of the failure. Is there anyway to work around this? __________________ Mike Sands "Quietly implementing RFC1925 wherever I go."

It's a 6gig disk on a dedicated machine. I know it's not the biggest disk but I'm fairly sure it is enough for the software requirements. __________________ Mike Sands "Quietly implementing RFC1925 wherever I go."

Did you do a backup of your other firewall and restore to the new one? Did you backup the log files as well as the config from the other fw? The policy will fail to install for sure if your /var is full. Generally it is the log files that generally take up this space. How big is the /var partition ?
