Has anyone attempted to do any ethernet bonding with SPLAT? I want to migrate away from a windows platform and trying to decide between SPLAT and Redhat. I would prefer to use SPLAT but not being able to have redundant links is going to force me to use redhat.

Sorry to be thick but could you explain a little further? I am looking to set up a SPLAT pair with IPMP for NIC teaming and also have them as active/passive clustered. This is running on Solaris NGX. Could you point me in the direction of the command lines to get teaming working? Many thanks Alastair Barnfield

hello, Bonding works on Splat with the linux kernel bonding extensions. You can find detail about setup here for example : http://linux-ip.net/html/ether-bonding.html Just only one problem, you must create init script to setup bonding at startup.

Thanks for the reply. I have R60 and have edited /etc/sysconfig/settings as described above, but after a reboot and then going into Sysconfig, I don't see any options to team the network cards. Any one done this ? thanks,
