Default e1000 for R61/SPLAT dualcore ?

I have a system with a Xeon CPU here, where I want to run the smp-kernel from R61/SPLAT. The SMP-Kernel detects two CPUs (hyperthreading), but the SMP-Kernel does only include an older module for Intel e1000 (Version 5.2.52).

The single-CPU Kernel supports e1000, Version 6.1.16.

Is there any working module in Version 6.1.16 or 7.0.38 available somewhere? If not, I read instructions about how to build custom kernel modules for SPLAT some time ago (R55 I guess) on CP's website but I don't remember where to find them ...

Thanks for helping.
Frank

I forgot to mention my problem :)

My Intel Chipsets do not work with e1000 V. 5.2.52, only with 6.1.16 or newer. So currently I have the choice to work with a single-cpu kernel on a Xeon system or to use the multi-cpu kernel and a really fantastic firewall because of no working NICs ...

Check - https://downloads.checkpoint.com/dc/...n=1070&os=1009 - file e1000R69.zip, i think you mean these files and instructions.
And check name module files in /etc/modules.conf. If there names are different from e1000. May be you can change names to e1000 and it will be enough.

Thanks for helping, but I do not find drivers for R61 there, only R55 or R60. Maybe they are currently not available for R61, but I wonder why the single-CPU kernel is supporting the latest e1000 chipsets and the multi-CPU kernel not ...

From what I understand, the latest disk of R61 has a newer driver included, I was able to call and get the 6.3.9 smp driver from Check Point, they just emailed it to me.

On NGX R60/60a and NGX R61

The Intel quad port drivers have to be compiled for the os, I copied over the source files to the splat box but of course, there is no make! This has been a very frustrating checkpoint week. I miss pix, it may be primitive but it works and you get good support. The knownledge base article states that after R55 the Intell e1000.0 driver works. (right...do they actually test these solutions)

Configuring RHEL in a linux cluster almost worked but when asking checkpoint for support they keep sending me windows dll's and windows support solutions. I feel so good about spending a fortune for enterprise support to have someone email me knowledge base articles that do not apply to linux.

Oh well, off to hammer check point, again.
