Default SPLat NTP and daylight savings time

Should it be necessary to change the time zone from GMT-5 to GMT-4 for the SPLat machine to adjust to daylight savings time? We are using NTP. Isn't there a way for this to happen automatically? (We are running NGX). Thanks.

I think in this case you need to set your time zone, like Continent->Country->time zone region (from sysconfig on SPLAT).

If you use NTP, only setup the timezone information with 'sysconfig' not the web gui.

Tested in a real live install with NGX R60 splat - with NTP configured, any setup of time etc through the gui will kill the 'auto DST' features as you can't setup the timezone for DST in the gui - this is configured by setting the timezone as previous post suggests via 'sysconfig'.

Scratched my head on this for a long time ..... until I used 'sysconfig' again and everything sorted itself out.
