| hi everyone i would like to have a healthy discussion between the features of cisco pix and checkpoint either over SPLAT or Nokia. the advantages and disadvantages as compared to cisco pix. the features that are available and not available in both the firewalls. justa healthy discussion i got nothing again cisco pix not against checkpoint. thank u . hope to see a lot posts on this topic. sebastan |

| PIX -crappy slow JAVA interface / Dashboard is a nice RIP off of Checkpoints -GUI is still not mature to compete heads up with Checkpoint +price, out the door price for an entry PIX is cheap [aprox 400-500 dollars] Checkpoint [SPLAT] -driver support / tied to specific hardware to contradict myself +With the right NICs it will run fine on older x86 hardware. +VERY stable +Easy to install and support As you can tell I'm a checkpoint fan / cisco should stick to what they know straight up networking :) |
