Checkpoint Security Analyst needed in Dallas(Plano), TX

Dallas based organization has an immediate need for an Information Security Administrator in their Plano location. Consultant will manage and support perimeter, host and network security controls required to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems at the enterprise level. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly technical environment and manage multiple responsibilities. A successful candidate will be a self-starter that understands the importance of maintaining network and data security while enabling and supporting business processes.

Minimum qualifications:
* BS degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of information technology experience, with at least 2 of those years spent in information security administration positions.
* Solid expertise with perimeter, host and network security administration including firewalls; intrusion detection/prevention, file integrity monitoring and antivirus.
* Strong working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol and services as well as routing and switching concepts.
* Strong knowledge of network routing and switching architectures and concepts.
* Ability to effectively work in a team environment as well as independently.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
* Must demonstrate a strong bias for action and results.

Core Technology Background Required:
Check Point Firewall-1 NG and/or NGX running on Nokia IP Security Appliances
Experience with McAfee antivirus and E-Policy Orchestrator
Experience with McAfee Intrushield
Strong experience with Windows (client & server) and/or UNIX (Sun Solaris), LINUX operating systems

Required Certifications:
* Check Point Security Expert (CCSE), (NG & NGX)
* Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA), (NG & NGX)

Desired Experience and Certifications:
* Technology experience in the retail industry
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
* Experience with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)
* SANS GIAC Certifications
