Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a NETWORK SECURITY SPECIALIST to join our team in PLANO, TX.

Job Responsibilities:
Provides daily maintenance and operational support of multiple customers’ firewall and network security infrastructure, as well as provide evaluation of network services/technology for current and future network development. Performs complex technical analysis of Firewalls, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems. Supports networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as firewalls, routers, bridges, concentrators and switches. Conducts analysis, prepares reports, and works on project implementation. May serve as technical liaison with vendors.

Typically, the Specialist level participates in the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions to problems. Provides technical direction to client and corporate technical staff, for the analysis and design of specific portions of complex, integrated systems and communication solutions. This Requires 4+ years of progressive related experience in application of at least one technical specialty, or any combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:
*3 years minimum network/security experience.
*Demonstrated proven firewall and VPN troubleshooting skills necessary to perform day to day operational and support functions, including monitoring and maintaining a ticket queue.
*Basic Networking and troubleshooting skills, previous helpdesk experience, customer service experience.
*Demonstrated customer service skills and proficiency interfacing with customers, end users, partners and associates as evidenced by e-mails, leader observation and customer feedback.
*Demonstrated basic technical understanding of communications networks, such as protocols, network components, design elements and their associated functions e.g. OSI Model.
*Demonstrated fundamental working knowledge of multiple platform operating systems i.e., windows, UNIX, Linux and how they interact with the network
*Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to Change Management processes and policies.

Desired Skills:
*Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA) or Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
*Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) or Equivalent Industry Proficiency is a plus
