The Information Security Administrator manages and supports perimeter, host and network security controls required to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems at the enterprise level. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly technical environment and manage multiple projects and responsibilities. A successful candidate will be a self-starter that understands the importance of maintaining network and data security while enabling and supporting business processes.

Minimum qualifications:
 BS degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4+ years of information technology experience, with at least 1 of those years spent in information security administration positions.
 Solid expertise with perimeter, host and network security administration including firewalls; intrusion detection/prevention and antivirus.
 Working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol and services.
 Strong knowledge of network routing and switching architectures and concepts.
 Ability to effectively work in a team environment and independently.
 Good organizational and time management skills.
 Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Core Technology Background Required:
Check Point Firewall-1 NG and/or NGX running on Nokia IP Security Appliances
Symantec antivirus experience
McAfee antivirus and EPO experience
Strong experience with Windows (client & server) and/or UNIX (Sun Solaris), LINUX operating systems

Desired Experience:
 Technology experience in a national retail environment.
 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Required Certifications:
 Check Point Security Expert (CCSE), (NG & NGX)
 Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA), (NG & NGX)

Job Duties:
 Perform firewall configuration changes in response to customer requests. Changes include but are not limited to additions/deletions to existing rule base, implementation and deletion of VPN’s, changes to existing VPN’s, etc.
 Administer firewall and related management platforms to include rule base optimization, upgrades, testing, etc.
 Identify firewall and management platform problems and take action to identify and resolve issues. Escalate problems to internal groups or external vendors as required.
 Review firewall logs and rule bases to ensure that security best practices are enforced.
 Administer enterprise antivirus controls to include performance optimization, testing, upgrades and deployments.
 Participate in network disaster recovery tests.
 Maintain technical expertise and required industry certifications and stay current with new host, network and perimeter security technologies and product offerings.
 Follow change management and compliance processes as necessary.
 Perform other information security related duties as assigned.
