Default This Forum For Check Point Instructors

Hello All,

This new forum is for Check Point instructors. I know there's already an instructor's mailing list at Check Point but here's an opportunity for independent communications.

What about instructors no longer affiliated with an ATC which really means that they are no longer CCSI's.

What is the deal with checkpoint not allowing Instructors to take their certification with them?

You need to be at an ATC to teach a "Certified" class. Now that CHKP has switched to the CTT+ for the "Trainer" cert, it is portable now.

My CCSI certificate is not tied to any ATC. So I suppose that I can move to another ATC and teach there.

The change to the CTT+ program was about integrating the review of the instructor by video to ensure the quality of the instructor. The CCSI & ATC need to go hand in hand because the training center facility must also meet requirements to deemed "authorized" training. It's about providing a quality learning environment for the student. You know, equipment up to standards, heating/cooling, and an organization that wouldn't be "fly by night". In case you have a problem with a class...you could be assured that there will still be a company there the next day that you could discuss your issues with...

Cheers,
Amy McCarthy
