Hi guys, I just passed CCSE today with 85%. In my oppinion you should NOT rely on TK/AT stuff. Study all topics. Some questions are tricky and will test your deep knowledge on the subject. I am still thinking about the benefits of CCSE+ . Any positive reason to do it? Kind Regards, Adrian

Hi, first congratulations for your nice score. Regarding CCSE+, it depends on what your job is. For me it is very interesting (I'm working as support engineer) and I learnt most of the subjects described in the CCSE+ training by myself. In fact, I discovered lately what the purpose of this training is. It is really debug oriented. I think that it is very interesting if you are facing some productions' issues or maybe some integration's issues. If you are consultant, maybe it isn't really usefull. As soon as I will pass my CCSA/CCSE exams, I will ask my boss to pay me the CCSE+ course. PS: do you have some 1.1 courseware to share? Mine are quite old (February 2006 Edition), I think it is 1.0 version. Cheers, Tan

Hi Tan Thank you for the advice. In my work I had over 200 CP platforms to manage and the debug is indeed necessary. I review the ATRG and is very useful. I guess I will take the CCSE+ somewhere in August. But I have to stop here. My company will never agree to send me in USA for the CCMA :) Regarding the Courseware, I don't actualy have it, but a friend of mine took the course last year and has the version 1.0. I review it but realy the best way to learn is the PDFs from Check Point site. The material is very well explained and going in details. The courseware looks like a review compare with the PDFs. So my advise is to download the free PDFs and study from there. In this way you will asure your success into all 3 exams. Check Point is a brilliant software and beats Cisco Pix by far. Ofcourse Cisco is trying to catch the "floating line" with his ASA and MARS but they have a lot to work on it :) P.S. for CheckPoint team: When is going to be a test center in Europe for CCMA? Kind Regards, Phayder

Hi Phayder, you're right the ATRG is a nice document if you have any debug issue. I learnt most of the debug commands in this PDF. I also discovered recently a pdf published by Nokia regarding the best practices. If you are using their IP Security Platforms, you can take a look at it. You should find it on Nokia website, it isn't in depth debugs/advices as the ATRG but they are some nice advices. If you don't have access to their website, please let me know and I will send it to you. From my side, I will have to take one or two weeks to focuse on the CCSA exam. I have all the documents from Check Point. Their documentations are very detailed and complete. Cheers, Tan
