Hi, I currently have my CCSA NG AI, and want to get my CCSE. Can i just go and sit the CCSE NGX exam or do i need to do the accelerated CCSE NGX exam, it is a little confusing so any help or advice would be great. Thanks

Neither option. In order to get CCSE NGX certified, you are going to have to sit two exams. You can only do the Accelerated CCSE NGX exam if you are already a CCSE NG AI. Your options are to either sit the CCSE NG AI, followed by the Accelerated CCSE NGX, or you could sit the CCSA NGX, followed by the CCSE NGX. It's a bit of a toss-up as to which is the easiest way to go. Your call.

If it was me, I'd probably do the NGX exams, since there'll be more overlap between those. If you were thinking of changing jobs soon, and wanted CCSE on your CV in a hurry, you could do the AI one first, since you can then legitimately call yourself a CCSE. Otherwise, there's lots of info here on the exams. I'd have a quick read of that, then sit the exam. If you've got the experience, you'll be fine.

This page would indicate that perhaps you can do the Accelerated CCSE NGX if you have a CCSE NG. If you have CCSE NG, then you are technically not a CCSE. Certifications are valid until two new versions have been released - so NG AI and NGX are the current valid versions. But it looks like you can get away with just sitting the one exam. Try emailing them if you're not sure.

Yeh looking around suggests you can take the accelerated if you have CCSE NG or CCSE NG AI.......found this extract off the checkpoint site However, if you have a CCSE NG or CCSE NG with Application Intelligence certification, you are eligible to take our upgrade course, Accelerated CCSE NGX and then exam #156-915 to earn your CCSE NGX certification.
