The following files exist in $FWDIR/conf/ahclientd on the firewall module. They can be modified to suit your tastes. In earlier versions of FireWall-1, FireWall-1 inserts data wherever there is a %s or %d in the file. In NG AI R54 and later, the %s tag is no longer recognized. Do not add or remove these tags or unpredictable results may occur.

ahclientd1.html is the prompt for username page
ahclientd2.html is the "end of session" page, after a successful authentication
ahclientd3.html is the page for using the Sign-Off feature
ahclientd4.html is the successful login page listing types of logins allowed
ahclientd5.html is the page presented when "Specific Sign-On" is chosen
ahclientd6.html is the page presented for authentication failure
ahclientd7.html is the page for when you are prompted for the password
ahclientd8.html is another page for when you are prompted for the password (NG and above)

In NG FP3 and before, you will find %s or %d symbols in these files. This is where FireWall-1 inserts specific information into the file. Do not delete these symbols or place them in HTML comment tags or unpredictable results will occur. In NG AI R54 and later, these tags will not exist in most of the files, and you may no longer add them for custom purposes.

In FireWall-1 versions prior to NG AI R54, you can work around the problem where FireWall-1 redirects you to the IP address of the firewall instead of it's fully qualified domain name. In all of these files, there should be a line that looks similiar to:

<FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="%s">

One of the files has a "GET" in it instead of POST, but the idea is the same. Change this line so it reads:

<FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="http://nokia-firewall.example.com:900" foo="%s">

The URL shown in the browser will instead be http://nokia-firewall.example.com:900. (note the foo="%s" should be ignored by the web browser).

Note that after modifying these files, you may need to perform a cprestart for the changes to take effect.

Sorry, I wasn't thinking partially automatic. I don't know offhand where to change this but I will look and see if I can find it.

From CheckPoint:

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you, but I have to do an extensive research regarding this issue to make sure I give you the correct answer.
After extensive research on Check Point's SecureKnowledge database, as well as resources outside Check Point, I couldn't find any article or information that indicates that those fields ("FW-1. Reason" and "FW-1 (password). Reason") in the Authentication pop-up box can be edited.
I also consulted with my Technical Lead as well as with an escalation engineer, and they too have indicated that those fields cannot be edited. They suggested that you submit an RFE (Request For Enhancement) so those fields can be edited in future product releases
