| I am trying to connect to a remote firewall. I have be given a userid and password and the IP address of the machine I am connecting from has been defined as a GUI client. I get the following error message: Connection cannot be initiated: Please make sure that the Server '10.1.40.9' is up and running and that you are defined as a GUI client. |

| Silly question, but when you say firewall, is it definitely a SMARTCenter as well on the box. If the box is a SMARTCenter as well then has the policy been updated, as whilst I find on a SMARTCenter the GUI CLient update takes place without a policy push, if the box is a Firewall as well then it requires a policy push. |
