In the last version of checkpoint, you need to add administrators users with cpconfig. But, with the R62, this operation is in the Smartdashboard. For a new firewall, first connection, do we have a default admin account ?? Or just the gui client ip ?? What is the procedure for the first connection on a new checkpoint firewall. Thanks

Just after you install your SCS it wiill ask you if you want to create an admin account, you must create it and assing a password(also include the GUI clients as needed). You have to log with this account in the GUI, after that you can add administrators from the Smart Dashboard.

In NGX you can and must configure only one master admin account via cpconfig. All other admin accounts are configured via SmartDashboard. When upgrading from previous NG versions all cpconfig admins are converted, so you won't loose them. Best regards, Danny Trommer CCSA/CCSE/CCSE+
