Default Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM)

Hi Folks,

has anyone had any success getting LDAP Authentication going with an ADAM (Active Directory Application Mode) instance?

ADAM is basically a copy of your AD which you can then make changes to without affecting your main AD tree. Changes made in the ADAM instance are not replicated into the main AD tree, but held within the ADAM instance. Changes made in the main AD are syncrhonised into the ADAM instance.

For example I would like to store fw-1 attributes (such as multiple authentication mechanism for different users) in an AD tree without affecting the corporations 250,000 users. So I create an ADAM instance to store the fw-1 attributes and point my firewalls and connectra's to that.

Any help greatly appreciated.
