Default Removing Check Point Authentication Banner

Removing Check Point Authentication Banner
To remove the authentication banner, edit $FWDIR/conf/objects.C (or $FWDIR/conf/objects_5_0.C on NG) and add the following after the "props" line

:undo_msg (true)

For guidelines on editing objects.C, see: EditingObjectsDotC

Note that if the FTP Security Server is used, FTP will not work properly from some clients (Internet Explorer and WSFTP come to mind) if this change is made without specifying an FTP welcome file. This is done in the Rulebase Properties, Security Servers tab. This file should contain at minimum a single carriage return but can be otherwise blank. The file referenced must exist in $FWDIR/conf on the firewall module (unless, of course, a fully qualified path is specified).
