I am running Checkpoint Provider-1 NGX R61 on a Solaris 10 device. I am looking for a way to extract a list of people who have Administrator IDs in the Checkpoint GUI. I have poured through the Checkpoint documentation and searched this forum the web with no success. Is there a tool out there or a command I can run to get this information? Thanks.

It should only take a few minutes for a perl or awk guru to whip something up to change the format into something else that suits you better. If you just want to get the names out, that's easy, but it takes a little bit more mucking around to get your formatting right if you want to change it into a flat file with all the permissions listed for each admin.

While the FireWall-1 is running, issue the command: fw dbexport -f <filename> If no filename is specified, the default output file is: $FWDIR/conf/user_def_file. You can then import this into a ";" deliminated excel file. This will be all your users but you should be able to sort it to easily find the admins.
