Default Odd ball User authentication problem

All,

I've recently been added more duties at work (more with less mantra) including the checkpoint firewall. I've done ok, added lots of users, a few rules, so far so good.

I have 2 people experiencing the same problem Our NG machine is setup so that if you start browsing you are prompted by pop-up for a login and pwd. We can also go to the "green screen" login page if so desired.

These 2 at some point in the last few months were prompted for u/p via the popup, entered it correctly and it would not auth them. It follows them from machine to machine. However, if on those same machines they go to the green screen auth, it works fine.

Both people have been on the system for a year or better. There was no "event" that triggered this to their knowledge. They are in different offices but both on XP SP2 systems.

Anyone else seen this?

thanks

Mike

if you are using Check Point internal users, check thier user objects and make sure they haven't expired.

Thanks, I'll look at that. One person I was able to get running, I went in and set her IE security back to defaults, then she was able to use the pop ups again on her main pc.
