Default backup checkpoint NG FP3 scheduling

Hello, we have a Nokia IP330 with Ipso 3.6, reciently we have been installed Checkpoint NG FP3. The firewall is working fine now but we donīt have a backup strategy yet. Reading several books we found a procedure to make a backup but it is necessary stop firewall-1 services to do this.
How can we make a backup for rules and firewall config wihtout stop firewall1 services (Hot backup)???
Any idea??

Thanks in avance

Default Re: backup checkpoint NG FP3 scheduling

You don't need to stop firewall services.

I'm assuming that you have management and enforcement on the same module, right?

Use Voyager to configure backups, and ensure that you configure the backup to include the Check Point packages.

There is a potential issue if you have connected GUI clients at the time the backup is run - so configure it for 4 in the morning, or something like that.
