User Auth Timeout Does Not Work with HTTP
If you are using a fixed password scheme (i.e. something that does not change every time you authenticate), the User Auth timeout doesn't work with HTTP. The browser caches this information and will present it automatically without user intervention. Your workarounds are:

Use Session Authentication, possibly with Implicit Client Auth
Use a one-time password scheme like SecurID
