Default ftp syntax

Does anyone know the syntax to get ftp through a firewall something like fwuser@ftp://ip blah Ive searched all over the internet and this site and haven't been able to find something.

Please Help

Try this,

ftpuser@firewalluser@ftpserverip

password is then, ftppasswd@firewallpasswd

not quite sure what you mean with this one by getting it through the firewall?
if ftp's allowed through you should be able to use any auth method?

maybe i've got the wrong end of the stick?

Stuart, i think in this case User Authentication is being used.
Where you have to authenticate to the firewall first, before being able to make the ftp connection.

You ftp to the FIREWALL and use syntax:

ftpuser@firewalluser@ip_of_ftpserver
after that
ftpuser_password@firewalluser_password
