I configured User authentification (authentication: FW-1/ VPN-1 password) for a group having 3 users, with source as the user group and destination as the web server. I am getting the prompt for the authentication but when providing the user name and password (user name as: user object created in Smartcenter server and password is the same that is mentioned in authentication tab of the user object), but its not authenticating. Before trying to access the web server I pushed the database to the Enforcement module and installed the policy. Theer is no error while doing these. Setup: I created a testing environment using three machines, One of the machine's is web server (IIS enabled on win 2000 server), one is firewall + Smartcenter R54 (plateform win 2000 server), and one is simple host to access the web server that is behind the firewall. I have trial license of one month that includes one license for Smartcenter and one for Enforcement module.

Hi all I got the authenticating working after making changes in "Action colum" by making it to any server instead of predefined servers. Then I started getting error message as WWW Server authentication failure. I removed authentication from the web server and the problem got resolved. Pending Issue ? My web server is asking for---> user name, password, and Domain when accessed directly without any firewall. I dont know to authenticate through the firewall.. Any help ???

The user can specify different user names (and passwords) at the password prompt for the HTTP server and FireWall-1, as follows: server_username@FireWall-1_username In the same way, the user can enter two passwords, as follows: server_password@FireWall-1_password If there is no password for the server, only the FireWall-1 password should be entered.
