Default Client Authentication and slow FTP

We have an issue here where users authenticate themselves to the firewall and then from there they open up an FTP session to a main frame server. When they connect for FTP they get a prompt for their username which they supply but it takes close to a full minute for it to come back and ask for their password. Sometimes they are seeing that if they actually go in and re-authenticate before opening the FTP session, it works with no problems. However if we do a straight FTP from the firewall, disregarding the authentication it goes right through quickly so I am wondering if there is some kind of correlation between the authentication and the FTP connection being slow. In most cases the users say that after they eventually connect to the main frame via FTP, the rest of their session behaves relatively normal so it appears that the only problem is during the authentication process. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Default Re: Client Authentication and slow FTP

You can try for Fw start and Fw stop. Also you can try for CPstart and Cpstop.
