Default NG FP3 -> NGX R61 on SPLAT.
Hi!

I'm quite new to CheckPoint and I need to move a CheckPoint Firewall to new hardware, and also do an upgrade. Some help is needed...

Today the SmartCenter server is on a separate SPLAT server, and the enforcement server is on a separate SPLAT server. The setup for the new servers/hardware is the same.

From what I've heard I should use the upgrade_export tool from the NGX CD, (or download it) and then import the configuration on the new server? Then manually set the interface IP's and routing on the new enforcement server or use backup/restore?

How about licensing? I'd prefer not to touch the running system... Any recommendations?
