First let me just say that I am new to IPSOs. But in the interest of keeping the ball rolling I'll have a crack at this.
According to the trouble shooting section in the user guide that came with our IP380 IPSOs:
No prompt or console port connection
Problem: The IP350 and IP380 appliance is deffective, or the file system on the IP350 and IP380 appliance is defective.
Solution: Contact the Nokia customer support site listed on page 3. Which in this case is
https://support.nokia.com That is not what you wanted to hear though! I'll try and find something of more substance
