Last time I looked at it, the CP SNMP version installed didn't support DISMAN-EVENT, so I'm not sure you can get that working.

Your polling will pick it up, but obviously you'll have an average delay of polling interval/2.

Maybe if you configured remote syslog, and used whatever NMS you use to monitor that logfile?
