Default Removing old licenses.

Removing old licenses.
In NG, $CPDIR/conf/cplicense contains all your license strings. In FireWall-1 4.1, the file is $FWDIR/conf/cp.license. You can simply remove the appropriate line(s) in the file to remove licenses.

An alternative approach, needed for FireWall-1 4.0 and earlier (but also works in 4.1), is to re-enter your current license string (eval or permanent key) with a -o option. This will overwrite all existing licenses. e.g.

# fw putlic -o ...
The alternative approach for FireWall-1 NG is to re-enter your current license string (eval or permanent key) using
# cplic put -o ...
If you have multiple permanent licenses, use the -o option for the first license key and do not use the -o option on subsequent licenses.
Nota also that NG offers a Central Licensing scheme, where licenses are bound to the Management Station. Removing a license in such environments is done by using the Delete option in the License Repository from SmartUpdate. Should you need to remove a license manually from the repository do this by editing the file licenses.c found under $FWDIR/conf.
