Re: Core XL You may be thinking of IPSO 6.0 which is going to allow Nokia to use multicore CPU's. Initially will be available only on the 690 and 2450 , which are Dual Core and Quad Core respectively, and if it isn't out know will be any day soon. IPSO 6.0 isn't CoreXL however. CoreXL will come to IPSO early next year. In terms of availability CoreXL is available for SPLAT since May for qualifying customers. So in theory is out already, just not as a general product. However if you actually need CoreXL for performance reasons then speak with your Check Point reseller about it. I think in terms of general release you will be looking early next year possibly with a refresh of the UTM-1 Appliances to get Dual Core/Quad Core into them. Purely speculation though regarding the UTM-1 but it would make sense to get them on multicore so can actually run UTM efficently. |
