Default VPN Licenses

Hello All,

Slightly confused so forgive me. I can't find any docs which clarify some of the points i'm concerned about

- The VPN policy server license that is purchased (500 user, 100 users etc). Is this the number the amount of concurrent connections or the number of users you can configure?

- Is there a license requried for site-to-site connections ( i dont believe so as we are only terminating IPSEC... but would like to double check that this is not licensed/bundled elsewhere)

- Is there a formula you can use to calculate the max number of VPN connections (client-to-site and site-to-site) your box can handle so that you know the physical restrictions? Checkpoint have one for calculating sessions as below which you can ammend to include 50 bytes for encryption overhead. But i dont believe this forumla takes into account hardware acceleration and other vital componenets....

MemoryUsage = ((ConcurrentConnections)/(AverageLifetime))*(AverageLifetime+ 50 seconds)*120

Finally, is anyone running VPN with NGX R65 gateway... what your thoughts on it compare to NGX R62?

Cheers....
